Profile
How did the team gather?
AS23 Football Club got together on October 24th 2005. The team formed that triumph a few games when they were bored in camp came from the same unit. What was remarkable was the diversity and number of players that came together came from one single small unit. This one passion for the world wide sport did not prevent this group of man with different background, age and race to come together to enjoy Soccer.
What does AS23 FC stands for?
AS23 really was more or less a made up name when the team registered for an amateur league. It used to stand for All-Star, Absolute Stunners, Armor Signalers and even someone thought it stands for Ah Sum… It’s now left for speculation. 23 was the number of players whenever war starts on the field. It was also the number of players the team started with. Actually there were 24 of them but one of them was really more interested only in the jersey.
What do you guys plan to achieve?
We aim to enjoy our favorite sport every weekend, through which we get to know each other better. This is one sport that keeps our body fit for our yearly Ippt. We intend to relax ourselves during weekends with a competitive spirit. And we join leagues to add a common goal we work toward together every week.
So are you guys still recruiting?
Why not? We are one great family and welcomes fresh blood into the team every now and then.
